Ditto, ditto!!

Could you sent this message to both political parties? The polarization stems so much dysfunction. Most people are too afraid to hold 2 differing perspectives. Very few critical thinkers these days.

Love the new look!

Our creative feminine cheers us on as we move away from alternatives and create combinations. "And" spurs combinations while "or" just backs us into settling.

"And" and "yes"...two of my favorite words!

Love your great photograph!!

Kristin:
This reminds me of the days at a former employer when the female executive/CEO (person by the name of Carly) used to have her "AND" discussions. Sales AND profit, vision AND execution. I don't think people choose "OR" because it's easy, I just think people steer away from "AND" because it's difficult to implement. That's where the magic is, it's where the pros are separated from the amateurs. Saying the words don't make it so (reference the former CEO). The magic is in the doing.

Kristin,
Wonderful column. "And" is one of my favorite words---as it offers the opportunity for expansive and comprehensive solutions and approaches. As you point out, this enables an organization or an individual leader to honor two or more high priority values rather than choosing between them. Once we commit to create the "best" way of going forward instead of choosing between competing strategies, we unleash the creativity and power of our teams. Beautiful blog. I appreciate your posting it.
